My note on the elections in Belarus in August 2020. And in General, in connection with the elections that we make every day.

A person's life is precisely determined by his choices, the choices he makes every day.

These elections are different from the presidential elections, because it makes no difference for a person who will be president. any president is a consequence of his own choices in life.

They say the truth that the people determine the future of their country, but I deceive when they say that for this they, the people, just need to go to elections, vote for the government, look for honest politicians, seek justice in court, on the square, etc. it is the least significant choice, both for an individual and for a country.

Yes, we live precisely in such a wonderful time when the catchers of souls (voices) skillfully recruit supporters from one side and the other. Yes, people believe that the government can make their lives better or worse. Yes, people everywhere disclaim responsibility for their personal lives by symbolically throwing their vote into the ballot box (for voting). Actual people who are part of a system of good or bad government, which is omnipotent and can solve their problems, which are used powerlessly in them.

Who is dispersing peaceful demonstrations now? What's the bad government doing this? This is all done with their own hands by the people who are at the scene, in the role of law and order defenders. Who will throw at a woman with a club, or kick an activist in a crowd, or voice politically advantageous stories under dictation? There are many such people, but the question is different. And why are these people there, who allowed them? And they are there instead of just being criminals and outcasts as a result of winning other elections. And this is precisely the most important choice in life, in which I participate without exception. For example, having long forgotten about their real roles as defenders of law and order, having got used to someone else's roles of taxi drivers, loaders, tractor drivers, managers, etc.

And here you can't change anything just by going out to the square. It is too early to change something outside of oneself, as long as there are no fair elections in oneself and around oneself. These fair elections should be with your wife or husband, with your work, with relatives and strangers, and most importantly, in relation to yourself. Honest elections begin when, without regard to circumstances, you answer the questions: who am I, what am I, why am I here, how much do I match my role in life, do I take my place, do I need where I am now or me easy to replace?

When a person does what he really wants, does what he dreamed of, he cannot be replaced by anyone, and it is difficult for him to impose someone else's opinion in the professional sphere. But, many instead look forward to the next life, the next elections, or try to find justice in the past. But it is obvious that the places "above" are simply taken. And moreover, all because "below" we ourselves are taking other people's places. It is obviously difficult to leave the post of a famous politician on his own initiative, but it is obviously easy to give up a dull job as a taxi driver. And it is precisely these simple and obvious questions that require the closest attention and deep effort.

Imagine a modern Vysotsky as a taxi? His only victory in the elections of his life forced even the strict censorship in the USSR to reckon with him.

But when we are afraid to recognize ourselves, when we get used to seeing ourselves as it is right, convenient, familiar and safe, we lose the main choices in our life.
